Hands Up, Don't Shoot!
The topic for this project stemmed from past and current events of police brutality against people of color. I first made the infographic, hoping to layout a story using graphics and statistics. I was inspired by the work of Emory Douglas, the graphic artist known for his work for the Black Panthers in the early 60's and 70's.
The motion was later added to focus in on the emotions I felt as I was working on this piece. The audio was powerful and raw, and my goal was to get the audience to understand how real and scary this issue actually is.
